Pre-Med Medical Assistant Internship Program
Are you interested in working and getting experience in the healthcare field prior to medical school or nursing school? Working directly with patients, physicians and nurse practitioners in an outpatient medical practice can help you get a step ahead! Every year, we hire recent college graduates looking to go into the healthcare space for a 1-2 year practical internship as a medical assistant on our team. As part of this program, you will work directly with our providers to get hands-on clinical experience and knowledge that will directly benefit your post-graduate school application. Our environment is rich with learning opportunities, including participation in weekly chart rounds with our providers. There is also the possibility of obtaining a recommendation from our medical director or another provider that supervised you during your year. You will also learn hands-on practical skills like injections, assisting in procedures, performing point of care tests including EKGs, taking vital signs and patient histories. This is a huge opportunity for learning and growth while earning competitive pay and benefits. We are looking for full or part-time interns who would serve as Medical Assistants. If you are a reliable self-starter, team player and are interested in learning hands-on clinical skills that will enhance your medical, NP or PA school application, please apply. Hours are 30-40 hours per week and pay is $25-27/hour.
Front Desk Administrator

Accepted candidates are professional, can accept and adjust to feedback, and are interested in a growth opportunity in healthcare administration. How will you spend your day? - You are a critical part of the patient experience with Wellesley Family Care. You will demonstrate customer service excellence in all interactions, including patient phone calls, as well as check-in and check-out for appointments. Patients will feel well cared for after interacting with you. - You will handle varied patient requests for appointments, referrals and refills while following office policies and provider preferences. These requests will come by phone, the patient portal and from the clinical team. You will learn how to best complete these tasks efficiently and accurately because you love the feeling of helping patients navigate the healthcare system. - You will work collaboratively with your team, which includes senior front desk staff, remote phone crew, medical assistants, nursing, management and providers, utilizing the electronic medical record (Epic) efficiently to complete all patient administrative needs. Your team will know they can rely on you to come to work on time, ready to work, with a positive attitude. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. Position Summary The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and behavioral health consultation within a busy family medicine practice. Working closely with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, care managers, and support staff, the PMHNP will play a key role in developing an integrated behavioral health program that improves access to mental health services and enhances patient outcomes. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape behavioral health services within a well-established practice while benefiting from a strong referral base and collaborative care environment. Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care · Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. · Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, including: o Depression o Anxiety disorders o ADHD o Bipolar disorder o PTSD o Adjustment disorders o Substance use disorders o Sleep disorders · Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches. · Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications. · Monitor treatment effectiveness and medication compliance. · Provide brief therapeutic interventions and behavioral health counseling as appropriate. · Assess and manage psychiatric crises, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning. Integrated Care & Collaboration · Serve as a behavioral health resource for primary care providers. · Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to support patients with coexisting medical and mental health conditions. · Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and case reviews. · Facilitate referrals to therapists, specialty psychiatry, community agencies, and higher levels of care when needed. · Assist in developing behavioral health workflows and best practices within the practice. Program Development · Help establish and grow WFCA's integrated behavioral health services. · Contribute to the development of screening, referral, and treatment protocols. · Support population health initiatives related to behavioral health. · Participate in quality improvement efforts and outcome measurement. Reports To CMO/COO FLSA Status Exempt Leadership Level Clinician Qualifications Required · Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. · Current Massachusetts RN and APRN licensure. · Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). · DEA Registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration. · Strong diagnostic, clinical assessment, and psychopharmacology skills. · Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
