Dr. Burney joined Wellesley Family Care Associates in 2025. Originally from Chicago, she completed her undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago before attending Chicago Medical School. She then pursued her residency at the University of Michigan, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive, patient-centered care. She spent several years practicing at both the University of Pennsylvania and Mass General Brigham, gaining extensive experience in managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in high-volume clinical settings.

During her time at these renowned institutions, Dr. Burney worked closely with patients of all backgrounds, focusing on providing thorough, compassionate, and efficient medical care. Her experience in both academic and community-based practices has shaped her approach to medicine, emphasizing evidence-based treatments and strong doctor-patient relationships. She values clear communication and collaboration to ensure that each patient receives personalized and effective care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Burney enjoys staying active and engaged in lifelong learning. Whether maintaining an exercise routine, reading historical fiction, or exploring different cuisines and experiencing new foods, she appreciates the balance these activities bring to her life. She is excited to be part of Wellesley Family Care Associates and looks forward to serving the community with dedicated and thoughtful medical care.
