Jennifer Schwartz

Medical Doctor

Dr. Schwartz is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. After spending years as a PCP in the Boston area, she transitioned to college health and served as the Medical Director/Director of Sports Medicine at Wellesley College.

However, she missed the familial connections and longitudinal relationships she developed with her patients in primary care. She values the focus on preventative medicine and the opportunity to oversee all aspects of her patients’ physical and mental well being that primary care offers and is eager to return to her roots.

Dr. Schwartz graduated summa cum laude from Colby College in Maine. She earned her M.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2008 and completed her residency through the Tufts Family Medicine Program, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship through the University of Massachusetts.

She sought additional sports medicine training so she could integrate this expertise within her primary care practice and manage musculoskeletal issues directly. Her goal is to keep patients active at any skill level- through exercise and nutritional counseling, prevention, and treatment of injuries, and performing in-office joint injections.

She has also developed a niche in managing disordered eating -empowering patients to navigate complex relationships with food, without judgement.

Whatever she is treating, Dr. Schwartz takes a collaborative approach to care, emphasizing shared decision making and educating patients about their options. She sees herself as a guide and an advocate for patients, supporting them to achieve their health goals.

In her “free” time, Dr. Schwartz looks for ways to engage her creative side with puzzles, baking, and crafts (any excuse to use her Cricut machine!). She loves to exercise and relies on movement for stress relief. You can also often find her cheering on her 2 tween daughters at the ice rink or in the swimming pool.
