
Jonathan Snider
Medical Doctor
Dr. Snider joined Wellesley Family Care Associates in 2006 and has served as medical director since 2009. Dr. Snider’s clinical interests include comprehensive primary care and preventive care, with a focus on the patient. He loves caring for the entire family from the newborn in the nursery to the grandparent. In addition to providing the full scope of family medicine services, Dr. Snider also performs some common, minor surgical procedures, such as skin biopsies, right in the office. He is also interested in the use of technology to enhance the doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Snider graduated magna cum laude with high honors in chemistry from Brandeis University and completed his medical degree, with induction into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He did his family medicine residency at UMass Medical Center in Worcester and served as chief resident at the Hahnemann Family Health Center during his final year.
Dr. Snider was named president of the Newton-Wellesley Medical Group in July 2018. He served as president of the medical staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital from 2016-2017 and continues to participate in hospital activities. He is also involved with Partners HealthCare at the system level.
Dr. Snider was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y. and married his wife Jen during his third year of medical school.
