Lydia Rex, MD is board-certified in Family Medicine. Prior to joining WFCA in 2026, she spent 6 years working at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, MA as a primary care physician, urgent care clinician, and hospitalist. Her time working in Lawrence allowed her to gain experience in managing a wide range of chronic and acute conditions within a fast-paced environment, as well as gaining medical fluency in Spanish. She is passionate about empowering patients through education about their health conditions and making patients feel comfortable bringing up any concerns they have, no matter how small. She has a particular interest in sexual health, mental health, obesity medicine, and in-office procedures such as removal of minor skin lesions, IUD/nexplanon placement & removal, and ingrown toenail removals. She is a life-long learner and is committed to staying up to date with the ever-evolving guidelines and research (and is always open to learning from patients!).

Dr. Rex is originally from Texas but lived in England for 8 years before moving back to the US to attend Wesleyan University, where she majored in both Biology and Italian Studies. She received her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2020. She enjoys strength training, swimming, going to art museums, listening to Taylor Swift, and traveling to new countries.
